Nidhi Shah
Associate
Nidhi joined Wisteria in September 2024 and works within the Audit & Assurance department.
Nidhi studied Economics at the University of Bristol. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling to different countries to experience their foods and cultures and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
What led you to pursue a career in your current role, and how did you get started in the field?
When I was studying towards my Economics degree, I particularly enjoyed the Accounting and Finance modules. Therefore, starting my career in audit felt like a natural progression where I would be able to enhance the skills and technical knowledge gained and apply them in a practical environment.
What do you enjoy most about your job, and what do you find most challenging?
The best part of the job is being given the opportunity to get involved in different tasks and assignments which allows me to be continually learning and developing my skillsets. I also enjoy the supportive environment I work in, where it is encouraged to ask questions and be inquisitive when something may not make sense. The most challenging part is balancing the needs of different assignments and adapting to changing priorities.
What do you believe are the most important qualities for success in your current role, and how do you strive to embody those qualities in your work?
I think the most important qualities in my role are having a high attention to detail and time management. In my work, I always try to apply thoroughness and accuracy and ensure I resolve any identified inconsistencies by communicating with the team. I also ensure that I plan ahead each week and maintain to-do lists to prioritise what needs to be delivered.
