Monika Vaghela
HR Manager
Monika joined Wisteria in March 2021 as HR Manager. She supports departments with all HR & Recruitment related activities bringing 15 years of Human Resources experience to her role.
Prior to joining Wisteria, Monika has held a number of roles across a variety of sectors, including working with Charities and Foundations. Outside of work, she enjoys socialising with friends & family and loves travelling to different countries to explore their culture.
What led you to pursue a career in your current role, and how did you get started in the field?
Whilst studying at university, I chose to follow the HR pathway in my final year. This gave me an insight into the multiple functions of HR and how these can support businesses. I always knew I wanted a career where I could help people and make a difference, hence this passion along with my degree led me down this pathway.
What do you enjoy most about your job, and what do you find most challenging?
I enjoy working closely with the staff at Wisteria as everyone here is very friendly and great to work with. In my role, I find every day brings a different challenge for me to support the business with and I enjoy looking at ways to overcome them.
What do you believe are the most important qualities for success in your current role, and how do you strive to embody those qualities in your work?
I believe having strong communication skills and having the ability to resolve problems are vital for my role. I try to embody these qualities by ensuring I maintain an effective, empathetic and approachable communication style.
