What led you to pursue a career in your current role, and how did you get started in the field?

When I was studying my Economics degree, I enjoyed the Accountancy modules.  After university, I started my career in industry, as a Purchase Ledger clerk. I discovered my passion for accounting and started studying ACCA.

What do you enjoy most about your job, and what do you find most challenging?

I enjoy the variety of work and interacting with different clients. In my last role in Practice, I enjoyed coaching and training talented and enthusiastic individuals.

The most challenging part of my job is meeting client needs, managing expectations of the directors, and my staff. However, I find this process very satisfying and rewarding when it all goes smoothly.

What do you believe are the most important qualities for success in your current role, and how do you strive to embody those qualities in your work?

I believe clear communication and being open to change, following the legislative changes, identifying client needs and adding value to the client’s business are the most important qualities for success.
